Farm Fresh Names New President

March 11, 2010

Gaelo de la Fuente has been named THE new president of Supervalu’s Virginia Beach, Vir.-based Farm Fresh division.

De la Fuente, 39, replaces Ron Dennis, who retired last week after 12 years as president of the 45-store regional grocery banner, whose stores are located in southern Virginia and North Carolina.

De la Fuente’s most recent position was group VP of retail operations support for Minneapolis-based Supervalu, which he joined in June 2008 from Food Lion, where he was VP of retail operations for the Atlantic division.

“Farm Fresh has a rich tradition of serving customers and giving back to the community,” said de la Fuente. “I look forward to continuing that tradition and working hard to meet our shoppers’ needs.”
