Publix, P&G Team for Special Olympics Through January

Publix Atlanta Division, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Special Olympics are once again teaming up to help people with intellectual disabilities achieve their dreams by offering three easy ways to “Be a fan” of Special Olympics.

A P&G brandSAVER coupon drop in local newspapers featuring Special Olympics broke on Dec. 27, featuring such P&G mainstays as Charmin, Pantene and Downey. During the month of January, Procter and Gamble will donate to Special Olympics three cents from every coupon redeemed.

Consumers shopping at Publix through Jan. 21 are able to purchase their own paper torches at the checkout register for $1, $3 or $5 to support Special Olympics and local athletes. The torches include $6 in coupons on select P&G products that are good above and beyond the brandSAVER coupons.

Special Olympics Georgia provides year-round sports training and competition to over 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver, as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem and the life skills necessary to be productive, respected and contributing members of their communities.

Produce OpsProgressive Grocer's 2009 Produce Operations Review
