dunnhumbyUSA Names SVP, GM, India Office

dunnhumbyUSA, a joint venture of the Kroger Co. and London-based dunnhumby and an global leader in building sales and brand value for consumer goods and retail companies, has promoted Michael Wilhite to the position of SVP and general manager, dunnhumby India. In his new role, Wilhite will expand dunnhumby’s analytical capabilities while overseeing general operations for the Gurgaon, India, office and a team of over 130 employees.

During seven years with dunnhumbyUSA, Wilhite has played a key role in growing the dunnhumbyUSA business and became the first dunnhumbyUSA employee after its launch in partnership with Cincinnati-based Kroger in 2003. At dunnhumbyUSA, he was instrumental in the development of the company’s primary research capabilities for customer-centric pricing, promotion planning and loyalty. He also helped establish dunnhumbyUSA’s first satellite office in Atlanta in 2007, and overhauled its graduate and college recruitment program in 2008.

Before joining dunnhumby USA, Wilhite spent five years with Convergys Corp.’s Knowledge Management Services group, rising through the ranks to the position of senior manager of analytical services, in which capacity he collaborated with Fortune 500 companies.

Employing over 1,300 people in 30 offices in Europe, Asia and the Americas, dunnhumby works with such well-known companies as Kroger, Tesco, Coca-Cola, General Mills, Kimberly-Clark, Macy’s, Panera Bread Co., PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.
