Goodness Had Plenty to Do With It

March 5, 2010

Mars Chocolate North America has premiered its goodnessKnows luscious snacksquares in Boulder, Colo., because of the area’s focus on healthy living. Made from slow-roasted whole almonds, tangy fruits and toasted whole grains, and containing no artificial ingredients, colors or flavors, the new treats feature a special Mars deep-chocolate recipe providing 200 milligrams of bio-available cocoa flavanols — phytonutrients linked to healthy circulation — per 150-calorie four-square serving. Available exclusively in Boulder in three flavors, Very Cranberry, Almonds & Berries, and Roasted Nuts & Grains, the product line will expand to Denver next month, according to Hackettstown, N.J.-based Mars. Single servings and multi-packs of five sell for a suggested retail price of $1.59 and $4.99, respectively. For more information, visit www.goodnessKnows.com or www.mars.com.
