Albertsons, Ex Drinks Launch Ski Promotion

Participating Southern California and Las Vegas Albertsons stores and Henderson, Nev.-based Ex Drinks, LLC have rolled out an in-store promotion offering customers free lift tickets to Big Bear Mountain Resorts. Every shopper that amasses $35 in purchases of Ex Drinks products with an Albertsons Preferred Card through March 23 will get one free lift ticket to Southern California’s premier snow sports destination.

Featuring 438 developed acres of terrain within the resort community of Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains, Big Bear Mountain Resorts consists of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, both accessible with a one-area-use ticket.

Ex Drinks manufactures, markets and sells beverages supporting active lifestyles. Albertsons is a division of Minneapolis-based Supervalu.

Total supermarket sales were $430.3 billion, up $13.2 billion from the $417.2 billion recorded in 2007 -- continuing the trend of slightly higher percentage increases in each of the past five years, according to Progressive Grocer's 62nd Annual Consumer Expenditures Study (CES), now greatly expanded from the eight-page print edition to 35 pages of research.
